Prayer was the rhythm of Jesus's life. He withdrew to be alone with the Father, and He gathered with others to seek Him together. As we practice the Way of Jesus, we want that same rhythm to shape us. Prayer isn’t simply something we do at Church of the City; it’s part of who we are. Each Sunday, trained members of our Prayer Team are available during every service, ready to listen and pray with you. Throughout the week, we also offer Freedom Prayer sessions, prayer gatherings, and worship nights—creating space for us to slow down, seek the Lord, and encounter His presence together.
Freedom prayer is a focused, personal prayer ministry led by members of COTC’s Freedom Prayer team. This ministry uses a biblical framework to make room in prayer for the Holy Spirit to have his way in our hearts - for the ultimate purpose of knowing God better (Ephesians 1:17).
Throughout the week, we offer intentional spaces to slow down and listen for the Lord's voice. Our prayer room is open on Tuesday mornings, and once a month we gather for Thursday Prayer & Worship Nights. We’d love for you to join us as we seek the Lord and pursue His presence as a community.
Life can be riddled with worry, anxiety, and unexpected hardships. Our team deeply cares, and is here both to listen and offer prayer. To learn more, click the link below.
